Last night in Paris

Sadly, tonight is our last night in Paris. We are enjoying a pretty low-key evening as our airport shuttle will pick us up at 5:30 AM tomorrow. We've had quite a few meals at home, enjoying the view of the Seine while munching on cheese and baguettes (yes, they really are better here!), and we'll do that again tonight.

We ended our trip with quite a full day of sightseeing. We went to the palace at Versaille and Sainte-Chapelle, a beautiful gothic church with amazing stained glass windows. Trafford is going to update our photo album later this evening, so you should have some fresh photos to view and hopefully enjoy.

Thanks for all the comments on the blog. We hope you enjoyed it!

Picture Pages

Sorry, folks, that we haven't been keeping these posts as fresh as we should. I know you're all clamoring for pictures, so this post finally includes some.

We're about halfway through our trip and having a wonderful time. We've seen a lot of Paris already but still have plenty more to see (and definitely things we won't have time to see--sigh--I guess we'll have to come back). Tonight we will enjoy dinner at the Eiffel Tower (which we walked to the other night--amazing and really huge).

Marathon update

The weather for marathon day has been rather hot and humid. Great for a leisurely walk, not so great for a 42.2 km run. However, Trafford successfully navigated the 35,000 runners and the sights of Paris to complete the marathon with an unofficial time of 3:33!

April is the cruelest month

We made it to Toronto, but it seems T.S. Elliot had the right idea about April. No snow here yet, but the forecast includes some tomorrow, so we're hoping the plane will be on time. We'll add some posts once we get there!

-A trip to Versailles

If you have any suggestions, please let us know.
